In 1975, the Sears Catalog was distributed with a picture in the mens' underwear section of a male model posing in a pair of boxer shorts. There seemed to be something protruding from the leg of the shorts. The letters rolled in complaining of the rudeness of the advertisement. This story has become famous as "The man on page 602". Sears claimed it was a flaw in the image, a blemish or water mark.
